Brayden walked into the dorm building, seeing as how he was skipping homework and still on campus he thought he'd hang out for a while before he went home. He spotted a couple people in the hallways and gave the small waves and short nods, the average greeting. Bry had decided to go to the lounge and watch tv for a while.
Brayden walked into the lounge, wearing a red tank top and pair of black shorts, he had just got through with basketball practice and didn't feel like wearing anything too complex after a shower. A thin white cord snaked from his ears, to the palm of his hand, his ipod of course. Music blasted in his eardrums, as Bray walked around the lounge. A couple people hung around throughout the room, but it was pretty empty for the most part. He exhaled and took a seat in one of the lounge chairs, gripping the remote and turning to an episode of MTV Cribs.

halley sighed, flipping through the pages of the magazine, which she had already looked through about a million times. she had been avoiding just about everyone, especially a certain someone by the name of Brayden. ever since that night at the lake with chris, she wasnt quite sure what to do anymore. but if brayden was cheating on her, there was no point in keeping the relationship going right? wrong. despite it all, halley still loved brayden. she knew she had to break it off, but she just didnt know when or how for that matter.
she stopped looking at the pictures for five seconds, to look up and see if anyone new had walked in. she didnt see anyone at first, but she glanced at the couch, and spotted the messy head of hair that could only be one person. "son of a bitch..." she whispered to herself, setting the magazine down. what the hell was she going to do? she didnt want to wait around for him to see her, but the only way she could leave was if she walked past the television. maybe he had his head in the TV, and wouldnt see her? fat chance, but she had to take it. she groaned to herself, standing up, trying to be as quiet as possible. she walked quickly towards the door, trying to make herself as invisible as possible.

Brayden gripped his ipod and pulled his headphones from his ears, stuffing them into his pocket. For the most part his day had been pretty boring, he just hung out in his dorm all day. For once there was no morning run or afternoon jog, just pure boredom. He hadn't talked to Halley in a while, and surprising she hadn't called him in the past couple of days. But Bray was just that guy to shrug it off, and think nothing of it.
Brayden put down the remote and and turned back to the television. For some reason it wasn't as interesting to see the way celebrities lived and how many houses they have. He exhaled and gripped the remote again, and just before turning the channel he spotted Halley walking through the lounge. "Hey baby" he called to her.

okay. so halley becoming invisible was a bittt of a long shot. i mean, she was halley mitchell for gods sakes. she heard him call out to her, and she thought about ignoring him, and pretending that she didnt hear him. would it work? she doubted it. she knew he would be pissed if she ignored him, and he was already going to get mad when she asked him about the cheating thing. mind as well put it off as long as possible. halley hated when brayden got mad.
she turned around quickly, pasting a suprised look on her face when she saw him stting there, looking at her expectantly. she made herself smile, taking a few steps towards him. "H..hey!" she said, cursing at herself for not being more cheerful. "What are you doing here?" she asked, stopped about 5 feet away from him.

Brayden called to her and waited for her to turn around at the sound of his voice. He looked up and she was probably half way out the door, maybe she didn't see him? But again, Bray just simply shrugged it off. He hadn't talk to her in a while and spotting her now was sort of ironic. He smiled at her when she turned around and started her walk in his direction.
He sat up a little and waited for her to close in on him. "Hey" he greeted back with an upward nod. He wasn't about to ask her why they haven't talked, because for the most part he was fine with it. Yeah, he got the space he needed and every now and then he wanted to be with her, but those were just phases so far. This time was different though, he couldn't just not say anything to her, she was his girlfriend. "Oh, just watching tv" he replied flipping through the channels. "You wanna come sit?" he asked with a small smile, looking back to her.

She was already feeling awkward. Like she wanted to kiss him, then beat the shit out of him. she couldnt get chris and his words out of her head, and it was this close to driving her completely crazy.
Thankfully, neither of them were clingy, or otherwise, everything would be out in the open by then. instead, she hadnt talked to him in a few days, and he hadnt bothered to call, thankfully. now though, there was no way she was going to be able to leave the room without either knowing that chris was lying to her, or breaking up with brayden. she really wanted it to be the first one. he asked her if she wanted to come sit, and she hesitated for a moment, before she walked over to him. she sat down, as close as she dared, breathing in that oh so familiar scent of her boyfriend. she wanted to cry right then and there, but she didnt. instead, she glued her eyes to the television, watching some random commercial.
OOC: hey, do you care if eventually, chris comes in? its up to you.

Bray wasn't really sure what to expect from her. He assumed she would say that she had something to do, or somewhere to go. They had been so 'busy' not bothering to talk to eachother that Bray was sure she would go give a reason to leave. You could say he was expecting her too, but Bray never had anything suspicious on his mind about his girlfriend, though most guys probably would have something to think about. He could hold his own, by himself if needed and that was okay. He was here when she wanted to talk, and away doing his own thing when she needed some space, usually after an arguement or something.
He looked to her and waited for a response, when a look a concern painted on his face. It wasn't too noticable, his thoughts were just starting to surface with his expressions. He watched her just stand for a moment and finally walk over to him. Most people would think something's up, and that's all Bray was thinking. He looked as she walked over to him and took a seat on the cushion beside him. She hadn't said anything, so that was the second indication. He turned his eyes away from the television and shifted them to her, "You okay?" he asked after a short pause. "What's wrong?" he added.

Ever since the two had met, halley had always been able to read brayden like a book. when he was mad or upset about something, she would always know, even if he had told her. that was just the way they were.
she knew something was wrong. let me correct that. she knew that brayden knew that something was wrong. it barely showed, but his face was saying that he knew she was uneasy about something. damn it. she sighed when he asked he rwhat was wrong. she hesitate,d then shook her head. "n...nothing." she said softly, not looking at him. seh knew that the moment he did, it would all be over.

By now Brayden was sure he could easily tell when something was wrong. What kind of boyfriend would he be if he couldn't? She hadn't been acting weird and now Bray was starting to think that this was partially the reason. He had known Halley since 6th grade, so it was easy to tell by the expression on her face that something wasn't right. Was she angry, did she find out? No doubt something was up, by now she would have been talking her head off and Brayden would have been struggling to keep.
Brayden looked at her and waited for her to reply. She hesistated again, and still hadn't made eye contact with him, not a good signs that something wasn't wrong. She said 'nothing', when he was sure it meant 'something', Halley wasn't too good at hiding her thoughts, atleast not in this case. He turned to her and exhaled, "What's wrong?" he asked again. "Hales, your not even looking at me?" he added again, not determined to get an answer.

fuuuccckkkkk. that was the first thing she thought. he knew something was wrong, and it was at that time that her mind decided to play the stupid card. normally, she would of been able to come up with some spur of the moment idea, that would get him off of her case, but right then, nothing was coming to her mind, at least not anything that he would believe. she made a mental note to kick herself, and finally tore her eyes away from the television, glancing at Brayden.
"ch...someonetoldmethatyourcheatingonme." she said in one big rush. she doubted that he could even understand it, and was praying that he couldnt. knowing him though, he would figure it out. she slapped a hand over her mouth, looking away quickly. oh god. now she was feeling sick.

Brayden was sure he was going to get an answer, unless for some reason she would pull out a quick excuse and basically run from him, but that was unlikely. He could tell by the look on her face that he had caught her, sooner or later he was going to get an answer. He put down the remote and waited for her to talk, and when she did, Bray was in a daze for a while
It took Bray a minute to understand what she had confessed to him. He didn't know what to say, someone had told her so she hadn't see it for herself. All Brayden did was hang out with a few girls, possibly make out. But his story for now was to deny everything. He gathered himself and narrowed his eyes at her, "Someone said I was cheating on you? Who?" he echoed. He paused for a minute, "So that's why you don't want to talk to me, because you think I cheated?" he asked, trying to sound offended. "...I didn't cheat on you" he said, turning fully toward her. They were obviously going to have to talk about this.

Today was a sweats kind of day. He hadn’t really done anything for a couple days, since the night at the lake. He kept hoping to hear Brayden and Halley were no more… No one had said anything of that sort, so he knew it hadn’t happened yet. News like that would spread like wildfire through Bentley. The only thing Chris could do was hope and pray at this point. Just like he had done the past three years for Halley.
Jamming to some hardcore tune through the earbuds of his iPhone, he walked right into the lounge before he saw Brayden and Halley. He had no hope of escaping without being noticed, since he had run into the doorway with his shoulder on the way in . “Shittt,” he said under his breath, not even bothering faking a smile. He could tell from the tension in the air that something was going down. He pulled the headphones from his ears and looked at the pair. “Should I leave?”
He didn't know exactly what was going on. None of their conversation had reached his ears, since they were blocked by the music. He hoped he hadn't walked in on the confrontation. Brayden would be pissed.

he was silent for a second, and she didnt dare look at him. she was scared to death right now, because she had never had this sort of conversation with brayden. she didnt know how he was going to react, and with him having a bad temper, she didnt think it would turn out very well. thankfully though, he suprised her. Instead, she had to bite her tongue. He asked her who, and she had to look away. she couldnt tell him that chris had told her. she knew that brayden wouldnt hit her, but chris may of been another story. she couldn't do that. it wasnt fair.
"I cant say." she said softly, looking down at her hands. she didnt want this conversation to continue any longer. instead, she wanted to run screaming from teh room, either that, or for the floor to open up and swollow her. anything would be better than to have to sit here. she heard him speak again, and she squeezed her eyes shut. "brayden, just try to understand..." she started to say, but before she could continue, thankfully, she was interrupted. She looked up, hoping to see rebekah or someone of that sort. But who stood before them, looking embarassed as hell that he had obviously interrupted, was Chris. she drew in her breath sharply, her eyes widening. she didnt answer his question, instead, she looked at Brayden. She refused to look at chris again, knowing that if she did, it would be a matter of time before brayden put two and two together.

Brayden didn't know what to say to her. He could tell she didn't want to talk to him about this, so what was he to do. He looked at her while she stared somewhere else, still trying to come up with something to say. Brayden wasn't the type to lose his temper, around girls anyway, and he definetly wasn't going to beg her to believe him. So sadly he had to make her believe him, in other words he had to force her to say the things he wanted. All he had to do was make her think he was angry, hurt, confused ect.
Brayden lowered his head and a look of surprise painted on his face, "You can't say?" he repeated with a surprised tone. He couldn't believe what she had said, she couldn't say for some reason and decided to leave it at that. After not talking for so long you would have thought that she would have a lot more to say. He exhaled and shook his head, "So all of a sudden somebody tells you something and you instantly trust them over me?" he questioned her. "I've known you since middle school" he added, making his statement. He didn't know what to do, whether to get mad or just walk away from her. Even though his statements were partially true, he was even starting to believe himself. "Try to understand what? You won't say anything, and on top of that you've been avoiding me because of this" he said with a shrug looking back to her. He tried to make it sound somewhere between angry and disappointed. "What do you want-..." he started before being interupted by Chris.
He looked over to Chris and exhaled, still in the heat of the moment. He paused for a minute and looked back to her, "You didn't even want to come to me or confront me on this" he stated. "So was it already made up in your mind that I cheated on you?" he asked rasing his eyebrows, expecting an answer. It wasn't that he was ignoring Chris, at the moment the guy was just in the line of fire.

Judging from what he had heard so far, Halley hadn't told Brayden it was him. And Bray hadn't come to kick his ass yet for telling on him, so he figured he was safe. He wanted to leave, but he wouldn't leave Halley there with Brayden... Who apparently was trying to convince her that he hadn't cheated.
Okay, seriously. Chris wasn't one for drama, but it was time Brayden was a man and fessed up to his behavior. He was lying to Halley, right in front of Chris. Now, Brayden was smarter than that. Brayden knew how close Halley and Chris were, and he knew that Chris knew about his cheating.
"What the fuck, Brayden?" Chris walked towards the couch, standing to the right of Brayden. Nothing more needed to be said. The other guy knew what Chris was talking about. He knew that he wasn't going to get away with sweettalking her, and trying to make Halley feel guilty if Chris was there.
