Throughout the entire night, Chandler was having a lot of problems sleeping. She woke up three time before she had simply desided it wasn't worth trying to sleep anymore. So, at four o'clock in the morning she got up quietly, trying not to bother Erika while she was moving around the dorm, and started watching the television. Nothing was on except pointless infomercials about some cleaning products and an assortment of food products that she had never heard of. For whatever reason, sleep still didn't come until it was eight in the morning and too late to go back to sleep.
Walking to her closet, Chandler grabbed a pair of jeans and a black top with the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland on it reading, 'Down the Rabbit Hole'. It was a shirt that she had worn once to a club with Halley and Erika, where a guy once made a sexual comment regarding the quote. It was something she could look back on and laugh about now even if the guy was completely wasted. After her shower, Chandler shook out her hair to get most of the water off and then brushed it. Within a few moments Chandler had grabbed her cell, wallet, and keys, then was out of the dorm for the day.
Walking to the Student Lounge, Chandler felt a great surge of how tired she really was and felt annoyed that all night she could not sleep and now, at the moment she didn't need it she was feeling exhausted. Chandler had come down here to write a paper for her history class - which she was going to fail if she didn't get caught up in. Taking a seat in one of the comfortable chairs, Chandler yawned widely and stared at the page that she was supposed to read about the Frech Revolution. She stared but only read the same sentance over and over...

Bryaden had been sound asleep in his bed, knocked out as if in a deep comfortable trance. He began to toss and turn in his be before finally opening his eyes, his stomach was growling so bad that it had woke him up. He glanced and his clock 4:21, it read. He groaned gripping his stomach and pulling the covers from his bed, afterwards walking into his bathroom.
After walking out, Bray walked over to his fridge and pulled out a small carton of chocolate ice cream, and a spoon. Dressed in his gray plaid pajama pants, a white and black nike tshirt, and his messy head of hair, he walked out of his dorm room. Brayden decided to watch some tv or something in the lounge for a little while.
Bray made his way down the stairs and toward the lounge, already starting on his ice cream. He walked through the doorway and spotted a figure sitting in one of the lounge chairs. He narrowed his eyes and smiled, recognizing Chandler, eating another spoonful of ice cream. "Hey gorgeous" he joked speaking softly, stretching himself across the couch. He gripped the remote and clicked on the tv, "What are you doing?" he asked looking over to her.

Sitting in the chair, Chandler made an attempt at reading a bit more into the book...or at least try to write something down on her paper besides her name. There were footsteps somewhere off behind her and ass they got a bit louder, a bit closer, Chandler realized it was someone coming down the stair. Rubbing her eyes and yawning she wished, desperately, that she could have gotten at least a little bit of sleep last night. But, no, that was not going to happen for her.
The television clicked to life and Chandler looked up. Ah, Brayden. Chandler smiled in sheer relief of having someone to talk to. Shoving her paper into the book, she threw to book at her feet. Looking over her shoulder, then back at him with a feigned seriousness on her face, Chandler said, "Well...there's no mirror behind me so you must be speaking to me...and ice cream, this early in the morning. Oh, my, You must have a fever." Chandler walked over to the couch and placed one hand on his forehead as if feeling his temperature.
Smirking, she pulled back her hand "Well, no temperature. I for one, couldn't sleep," Chandler said nonchalontly before continueing on, "What is your reason for coming down so early with this ice cream, which you do know I may have to confiscate from you in a moment?" Chandler sat herself perched on the very edge of the couch, waiting for the answer.

Bray laid on his back, his head rested on the arm of the couch as he faced Chandler waiting for an answer. He watched as she shoved a book over to the side, he was obviously interupting something. He hadn't figured Chandler to be the studious, 'All-Nighter', paper writer, unlike Brayden who procrastinated as much as he could until he basically had no other option but to do it all night. He laughed at the comment about Brayden talking to a mirror, she knew him well, but it was obvious that Brayden was a little arrogant, "That's a good one" he laughed.
I'm not that selfish, Bray thought to himself eating another spoonful. At one point him and Halley had gotten into it because she thought he was being too much of a arrogant show off. He would constantly talk about himself around her and she got tired of it, mostly because she wanted to talk about herself. She had said that the only reason Bray would look into her eyes is to see his own reflection, and he couldn't help but laugh. Of course it wasn't true, but every now and then he would glance at himself in her eyes, holding back a smile.
Brayden ate another scoop and looked back at her, "Even if there was a mirror behind you, I would still be talking to you." he spoke, not really knowing if that were the truth. He watched her get up and walk over to him, she felt his forehead and pulled back. He rolled his eyes, "If you wanted to feel on me Chan, you could have just asked." he said jokingly nodding his head. He watched as she eyed his ice cream, Bray smirked, "Well I just decided to walk around the building for a while. I sleep walk sometimes." he lied. "..and as for my ice cream, I'm holding it for a friend" he teased back. He took another bite and moaned, taunting her. "..Oh, and it isn't fat free, so you wouldn't like it too much" he mocked.

As Chandler sat on the edge of the couch, she had wondered at the fact that Brayden was down here this late in the first place. She had not known him as the type of person to simply wonder on downstairs after hours to eat ice cream. Ah, but Chandler was not the studious type either, yet, here she was. Better to give the benifit of the doubt rather than get into an awkward conversation if he had, for instance, come from a girl's room. Chandler may have had a lot of male friends and was used to their tales, but it was still a bit weird hearing about the latest girl they screwed. Especially if it was one her best friend was dating and Chandler had previously had intimate relations with as well.
Aww, aren't you the smooth talker, Mr. Matthews. No wonder you got Halley." Chandler shook her head at his next comment. Being the flirt that she is, Chandler played into his words and placed a hand on his chest and the other hand on his arm. "Damn, I've been caught. I just couldn't help but want to touch you. Your just so damn hot!" Chandler smirked, and removed her hand from his arm to brush a few loose strands of hair from her eyes. Besides the one hand that was busy in her hair, her left hand was still on his chest without even thinking about it.
Grabbing the spoon out of his hand without asking, Chandler took a scoop of ice cream and swallowed after a moment. "Too bad for your friend. This is really good ice cream," she said and continued with, "Since when have I ever been a 'fat-free only' kind of girl? I don't need to watch my figure..." Only slightly offended by the mocking tone in which he spoke, she desided not to get too hurt over it. Chandler took a second scoop of ice cream and began to bring it to her lips before she spoke again teasing, "Do you want me to feed you ice cream wittle baby Bray?"

Bray looked back to her and expected her to walk back to her seat when denied her ice cream. But he could tell by the look on her face she wasn't going to give up on the carton he still had in his hand. Brayden and Chandler had some chemistry and possibly there is still some there, minus his girlfriend. This would probably be number two on his list of bad things he's doing to Halley. Keeping a secret about him and her best friend wasn't something you should keep from your girlfriend. But then again it wasn't the worst thing he was doing to her.
A goofy grin was painted of Brayden's face when she called him a smooth talker. That was one of his qualitites and it possibly helped him out with Hallley, especially in arguments and when he usually did something wrong. "Me? A smooth talker?" he questioned, trying to act surprised. "Your just saything that" he said jokingly, eating another spoonful of ice cream. Soon after that he watched a smile form on Chandler's face. He smiled back at her when she felt on him, intentionally this time,"See? I know how much you miss not having this. And that's okay with me." he teased. "If you need to get a feel, just let me know" he added with a nod.
Bray scooped another spoonful of ice cream, just to have it snatched out of his hands. He watched helplessly as she ate his ice cream. He smirked, "Sure, Chandler you can some?" he muttered sarcastically. He watched her swallow down his ice cream as he reached for his spoon, "I don't know, you just seem like the type" he said with a small smile. And with another scoop, Chandler was already starting to enjoy his ice cream. "Sure, you can feed me ice cream" he said with a smirk. "If that's what your into." he added with a shrug, opening his mouth.

There was never anything that Chandler couldn't talk to her best friend Halley about but, it seemed that over the last year they had lost that bond. Or at least, Chandler had caused them to loose that close bond by keeping things from Halley that she should have told her. Most of it was stupid stuff that didn't really matter but the chemistry that had been between Brayden and Chandler - and possibly was still there - was something that was Chandler's best kept secret and Chandler would hate herself if Halley found out. Even when they argue, Chandler never mentioned that to her, just to hurt her.
Watching the goofy grin spread across Brayden's face, Chandler briefly wondered how many other secret were hidden behind that smile besides just the one's she knew he kept from Halley. Chandler comforted herself witht the thought that she could not be the only girl he did not tell Halley about. Although, at the same time she didn't like that idea that there was more secrets. "Yeah, your right. Your not a smooth talker at all. I was jsut trying to make you feel good." Chandler let herself laugh at his next comment. She did have to admit that Brayden had a nice body but she would never tell him that personally. She would never submit to telling a guy that was even slightly vain, that they were right. "Oh, believe me, you'll know when I want to feel you up at all."
"Thanks for the offer. Your such a gentleman." Chandler replied in the same sarcastic tone he had given her. Not letting him have the satisfaction of recieving an answer for his next responce. His next statement, though, Chandler laughed. " Yeah, right. Maybe you should be feeding me some ice cream?" Chandler diverted the spoonful of ice cream and ate it herself. "Now, here's the spoon." Chandler shoved the spoon back into the ice cream and left it there. "I'm bored. Give me some entertainment, handsome." Chandler said nonchalantely.

Brayden's relationship with Halley was going okay, from his point of view. It seemed like she was around less often then usually but that could be tied in with alot of different things. School, work and friends were the typical reasons, but even if it were a problem you could doubt that Bray would say anything. He had feelings for Halley and everything but freedom was freedom, besides it wasn't like he was cutting off all contact with her, just a little less.
Brayden pulled himself up on the couch, now sitting up straight. Every now and then Bray did feel bad about being so 'unfaithful' with Halley, but just like most guys his attention could be easily grasped. Brayden could easily become distracted by a girl and sometimes even he could become sidetracked with himself, as Chandler tried to point out. "No don't try to take it back now. You gave me a compliment, now your gonna have to deal with it." he said with a smirk, knowing it was probably true. He doubted Chan would give him a compliment on purpose, or atleast without sarcasm. It didn't always use to be this way, obviously, but they had known eachother for a while. He nodded his head at her next comment, "I'll be waiting" he said arrogantly with a wink.
Bray rolled his eyes and her sarcasm and decided not to bite back. Though it wasn't a big deal, he was okay with sharing half the time. "...and your such a lady" he complimented back, with some sarcasm, he couldn't resist. He jaw finally closed, when hearing the spoon drop back into his carton after being stuck in her mouth again, he hadn't expected any ice cream from her anyway. He smirked and gripped the spoon, "Thanks" he said with a blank stare. He thought for a moment, scraping the bottom for the last scoop of ice cream, "Well I would invite you back to my dorm, but we wouldn't want to wake up my roommate" he said jokingly, with another wink.
