Just Have a Little FUN
_________
Ezeriah walked into PacSun, one of her all-time favorite stores. This was where she got much of her clothes. Though much of the clothes were super large on her, she still loved it. And, of course, she needed some belts. Ezeriah's eyes were covered in eyeliner and mascara and her eyes looked a little darker than usual. Hanging on her hips was a pair of tight blue jeans with a studded belt put on as tightly as possible. And, her shirt was also tight and it said, You Sank My Battle Ship, in bright red letters.
Ezzie glanced around, looking for a good pair of blue jeans. Though she didn't need anymore, what's the fun of not having a ton of them? Her pale hand barely touched the jeans as she scanned through them, making sure to take a good look at each pair and checking their sizes if she liked them. One pair she really liked--but the waist was much too big... like usual. She sighed, aggrivated. Nothing fit her anymore!

So what did you think I would say? No, you can't run away, you can't run away You wouldn't. Mally HATED shopping for clothes. She was a freakin leprechaun, thank you very much, and did not really wish to be reminded of it all that often. She was short. She was skinny, to the point of looking almost anorexic. Therefore, NOTHING fit. She wandered in and out of stories, trying on too-big shirts, and pants that were always too big and ten times to long. It sucked. But, on the downside, she needed clothes. A girl had to have SOMETHING new to wear everyonce in awhile, right?
At the moment, she was clad simply in a black and white, striped shirt with the characteristic tightness of indie clothing (though she really didn't have any curves, so it was still kind of loose). She had on straight, black, skinny jeans which added to the generally small appearance. The eyecatching part of her appearance came with her hair; bright red, with some yellow and orange thrown in for fun. Layered bangs were died a vibrant, IN YOUR FACE! orange, and spiked out just for the hell of it.
She made her way into PacSun, hoping to find something that would actually fit. She made a face, checking sizes and deciding she needed to gain some weight and find a way to add a few inches to her height. Finally, in a fit of exasperation, she threw her hands in the air. "This is ridiculous!" The edge of her hand narrowly avoided hitting someone in the head, turning, she saw a pretty girl a bit taller than she was and even skinnier. Oh jeez, I'm sorry. Did I hit you? I didn't see you.. she said, blinking in surprise. Whoops! [/blockquote]

Ezeriah growled again when she kept looking through the pants. No matter how much she looked through them, everything was too wide. She clenched her fists, completely pissed. She growled a few profanities under her breath, looking through the pants once again. And, when she saw one pair that was long enough but a belt would help, she liked them. Very nice, She thought, raising an eyebrow. Ezeriah put them up to her hips, still amused that there was something that would fit her.
She jumped back when the one girl waved her arms. She smoothed down her appearence, still a little surprised. When she spoke, Ezzie glanced at her, nodding slightly. The girl was short, thin, and pretty. But goodness, what Ezeriah would give to be that girl's weight. She murmured something about it under her breath, "It's okay," She murmured quietly, her head still looking down. Ezeriah looked up, her eyes darting from the left to the right of the girl.

So what did you think I would say? No, you can't run away, you can't run away You wouldn't. The pretty girl looked down, speaking softly. Mally bit her lip, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly with one small hand. "Uhm, I'm sorry, really. I was just getting so frustrated because nothing ever fits me..." she glanced at the girl across from her. "But I bet you know all about that, since you're so skinny." She shifted on her feet, aware that she was babbling. Well, Mally babbled a lot. When she was nervous, when she was feelin gout of place, when she was comfortable with her surroundings...pretty much all the time.
Glancing back at the girl, to get a better look, her eyes widened. "Oh me, oh my." she said, in an envious tone. "Your hair is ah-mazing." Mally loved crazy hair. It was wicked cool, dying, streaks, highlights, funky colors, all of the above. This love could, of course, be witnessed by her own ever-changing (but always mostly red) hair. I'm really sorry if I like, maimed you or anything... she continued, hoping her babbling would at least make the girl feel a little more at ease. After all, if she was acting like a fool, it'd at least made this random pink-black haired girl feel better about herself, or something. Yep, that was Mally. Boosting people's self-esteem by making them glad they weren't her. Pretty easy, all things considered.

Ezeiah couldn't help but smile when the girl started apologizing. Well, it was more of a sympathetic smile. She twisted a ring on her thumb with one hand, still watching the girl with curious eyes, "It's fine, really." She smiled reassuringly again, though feeling a little awkward, "I was frustrated, too. I swear, they don't make clothes for us skinny girls anymore." Well, Ezzie thought bitterly, girls aren't supposed to be anorexic in the first place, now are they? She muttered something to herself and then smiled slightly.
At her next comment, Ezeriah chuckled a little. She twirled her hair with one finger, "Thanks. Your hair is pretty-ful, too. The orange is awesome." She rolled her eyes, emphasizing her words, "And not to mention how you spiked it up." Then she shrugged, "Coloring my hair is so much fun, isn't it? And it's, like, every day I can walk out with a new style."

So what did you think I would say? No, you can't run away, you can't run away You wouldn't. Mally smiled brightly as the girl gave her a reassuring grin. It wasn't a cheerful smile, but it was better than no smile at all, that was for sure. Mally hated it when people around her were upset. She was an entertainer at heart, livening things up was her calling, and something she felt she was pretty darn good at. "I know, its practically impossible to find anything..." Looking at the length of the jeans around them she added, "And if its not too big, then its ten times to long. I hate being short." She ended the statement with a wistful look, and a slight shrug. C'est la vie! Thats life, it seemed to be her motto. After all, no use fretting about what you couldn't change. Life was life, and thats all there was to it.
Mally tugged on a strand of her own hair, pulling it in front of her face with a critical look in her eye. Dropping it again, she grinned at the other girl. "Thanks! I know exactly what you mean, I love to mess with my hair. Mostly always keep it red though." She grinned again, then blinked a few times in surprise. "Oh, my name's Mally by the way." Probably kind of rude not to introduce herself, not that it was much of an introduction anyway.

Ezeriah nodded in agreement, "For me, my pants are the right length but way, way too big." She sighed, patting her invisible stomach and rolling her eyes, "But really, people must not have created clothes for skinny girls like us because seriously." She rolled her eyes again, shrugging. Ezzie moved some hair from her face, her dark eyes still watching Mally.
Ezeriah smiled, "Finally, someone who shared the passion of coloring their hair!" She smiled again, brishing her hair away from her face again, "Because you know, I just can't stand having plain hair." She twirled her hair with her finger, making small curls and then letting them bounce back up.
When the girl said her name, Ezeriah looked up, "My name's Ezeriah. But you can call me Ezzie or Ez." She tapped her chin thoughtfully, "Mally's a pretty name. Is it a nickname?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. Well, Mally never sounded like a full name so it made Ezeriah wonder.

So what did you think I would say? No, you can't run away, you can't run away You wouldn't. She nodded her agreement, staring enviously up at the other girl. Boy did Mally wish she was that tall. But, her mother had been short, and she supposed she inherited the trait from her. Thinking about her mother made her sad, so she moved on, mentally speaking. She didn't think about things that upset her; what use was there in dwelling on that which only made her life seem sucky? She knew good and well it wasn't that bad, but being a teenager meant it was easy to obsess over the bad and throw out the good. The girl said 'skinny girls like us' and Mally nodded vigorously. "I know, its crazy!" she thought for a minute, then added. "Not that I'm anywhere near as skinny as you. I'm getting fat again, ha. " She said it with a slight note of envy. The girl beside her was thin...however, despite being a very pretty girl, there was a gaunt quality to her thinness that made Mally wonder if she was entirely alright. It might be an eating disorder, but Mally didn't want to jump to conclusions, or judge her. After all, her own mother had looked similarly thin and gaunt as she got sicker. Imagine if Mally assumed it was an eating disorder, when she was really a recovering cancer patient or something! That would be downright humiliating.
"Ooh, I know! Brown and blonde all that..its just so boring! she exclaimed, shaking her head slightly at the folly of their peers, who seemed to think a few natural looking highlights sufficed. Mally felt rather proud of herself, she'd managed to get two smiles out of the girl. She really did seem nice, whoever she was. Mally wondered for a minute if she went to Bentley, she hadn't seen her around before, but she definitely might consider hanging out with her more. So many people there got on her nerves, she didn't have a whole ton of friends.
"Ezeriah? Wow, thats pretty! she said the name again, testing its sound. It was a good name, lots of nickname potential, and definitely not something you heard everyday. At Ezzie's follow-up question, she grinned. "Thanks! Its short for Malachy. My dad's Irish." she said by way of explanation, with a shrug.

_________
Ezeriah almost winced when Mally said she was no where as skinny as her. No one wanted to be as skinny as she was--it was way too dangerous. All her ribs showed and her spine stuck out. Not to mention her hips that seemed a little too big for her tiny body. And she couldn't help but smirk slightly when Mally said she was getting fat. Her, fat? Yeah, right. Mally was where Ezzie wanted to be. She was that perfect size. Ezeriah did not want to be as small as she was now, it ruined the way she looked, "You're not getting fat, Mally," She murmured, "Believe me,"
Ezzie nodded, glancing at her hair once again, "My hair's just a natural dirty blonde. But no one could tell." She moved her hair away, "And I just don't understand how some people could live with those small streaks that are so close to their normak hair color! I mean, geez," She shook her head. Then, suddenly, a question popped into her head, "Do you go to Bentley by any chance?"
When Mally spoke again, Ezeriah smiled a little, "Thanks. My mom always loved that name. I have no idea where it came from though." She shrugged, not even knowing where she was from. Malachy. Now that was a pretty name. "I've never heard that name before! And I love it!" Ezzie tapped her chin, her eyes somewhat wide, "That's very pretty."

So what did you think I would say? No, you can't run away, you can't run away You wouldn't. She grinned brightly back, nodding. "You're right, no one could tell your hair was dirty blonde. My hair is naturally red..but I hardly ever leave it the same shade...." she fingered her partially-orange hair and giggled slightly. At the girl's next question, she nodded half-heartedly. "Yeah, I do." She didn't add the fact that she kind of hated it there, if only a bit. So many of its students were...annoying. Like that Kayla chick. Jeez, she was awful. "I guess you do too then? I'm a sophmore. You?"
Her mom always 'loved' her name, huh? Like, past tense? Curious, Mally wondered if that meant Ezzie's mother was dead, just like hers. She might even have asked, but that would be intolerably rude. Maybe if they got to be friends someday. As a matter of fact, Mally though this girl could easily become a friend in the future; they seemed to have a bit in common, and Ezzie seemed like a really nifty sort of person. There was potential there. Then again, Mally like almost everyone....well, minus large chunks of the Bentley student population."Yeah, I can see why she would, its a pretty name." she replied, then ducked her head sheepishly at the girl's next words. "Ah, thanks. Its kinda weird though, but I think it suits me."

Ezeriah smirked, some of her brightly colored hair falling in front of her face. She muttered something under her breath, then moved it away with a flick of her hand. She colored her hair so much, it was a wonder how she found all the time to do it--not to mention all the money. "Red?" She asked, raising an eyebrow, "I wouldn't have thought so when I first saw you." She smiled slightly.
Mally seemed nice. They had a few things in common, which might spark up a friendly relationship sooner or later. But, maybe they should hang out a bit more beforehand. Ezeriah glanced up and nodded at her question, "Yup, Bentley. I'm a junior," She shrugged, placing one hand on her skinny hip. But, it wasn't in a rude way, just a way she always stood.
"Weird? Well, I find Ezeriah a weird name, too. I mean, how many times has someone heard that name?" Ezeriah rolled her eyes. Of course, she'd never met anyone with that name. And the closest to it was Aria, and that wasn't extremely close, either.
