Northell Preparatory, called the North side of Hell by students who don't want to be here, has served the wealthy families of southern California and other areas of the world since 1849 when the gold rush began. Northell over the years has went through many transformations. Starting out, it was an all-boys school but in 1930 was turned into co-ed. In 1950, a forest fire spread and caught the school on fire. Luckily, no student or staff member was harmed but the school was rebuilt.
Northell use to be a small number of the wealthiest students in America but it has expanded to include many such as ambassador’s children. Just like every public high school though, Northell is divided. You have The Elite who used to rule the school until suddenly the ranks were turned upside down and now the Scenesters are at the top. The Elite want revenge and the Scenesters just want to go back to normal minus The Elite ruling. Heck, we haven't even gotten to why the Groupies are set out to on a bet to snag the best lay or why the Drama Club is having a rival with the Artists. Yeah, this school isn't exactly that normal but it's not that strange either. It's just one big soap opera.
